I’m the leader Kelly Shaw, owner of K Shaw Beauty Company. I was born and raised in the small town California, Mo with big dreams now living in Sedalia, Mo for 9 years. I know what it means to have a dream and make it a reality through hard work and pushing through self doubt and others who tell you ““it may not be possible”. I designed K Shaw Beauty initially to be the perfect place for busy women to receive a wide range of services at a competitive price with my main focus on creating a top tier, luxury customer experience. I wanted you to walk in the salon feel like you just took the biggest sigh of relief, relaxed so well you almost fell asleep a few times, and walked out feeling like you got way more than you paid for. I've been a stylist since 2019 and a Salon Owner since 2021. I have done a lot of different services in my career but my specialties are hair extensions, natural hair colors as well as nail services, brow shaping, and women’s haircuts. Currently, I am away from behind the chair and dedicating my focus on our team. Every year I set up a plan for success for our team, aiming for the time ahead to be better than the past. I am dedicated to continuing my education as a leader to ensure I am bringing the best opportunities to your table. Just like I worked with all my clients to help them reach their goals of a maintenance schedule that works best for them and I took extra measures when choosing hair care products, paying close attention to ingredients to ensure the products are not harmful to the body, I do that and more for my team.

Next to my achievements behind the chair is my success as a leader. I knew long before day 1 of cosmetology school I would be a leader in a salon one day. I have had many experiences working in salon environments that have shaped who I am as a co worker and a leader. My goal with opening a salon was not only to lift up my guests but also my employees. Hard working women deserve love, respect, good leadership, and someone they can rely on to be honest and comforting when they need it. I am also a firm believer that success is not measured by how much money you have and how quickly you can burn yourself out, there's way more to it than that. I can’t wait to show you all the great things this career has to offer!

​My time at home is spent trying to fulfill all my duties as a christian wife and mother. Late nights spent around a table with my friends from church are where I long to be after a long week at work, we share many laughs and for me sometimes tears because I'm emotional, but in ways it helps me forget about all the stress that may be going on. Other than that, anywhere I'm with my family whether it be just Damon, Ada, Aiden and I or the whole bunch, is some of the best places to be, I am extremely grateful for them. Most importantly, God is so great and I’m a firm believer in His amazing love and sharing that with others!
